Is the RF really keeping waity away from glittering events?

Well I've learned something new today!!

Instead of Kate settling into the role of RAF wife as the press claimed, Kate embraced a life of shopping, lunches and vacations. After the ten day honeymoon in Seychelles, it was announced that the upcoming Canadian Tour in July had been extended to include Los Angeles at the request of the Duchess.

You should all really read this scathing take on waity's role as an RAF wife   

They could well be keeping her away for several reasons.  Firstly she is totally incompetent at social events.  Like her mother she is unable to string a coherent sentence together, just utter dumb platitudes.  These are accompanied by frantic head nodding, pursed mouth (if wanting to look intelligent) and hand flapping.  In addition it could also be that here has been much criticism of the lazy duo just spending their time on vacations and at glitzy events so sending only one prevents this.   Maybe willy feels that Waity is sidelining him at events and he wants to 'shine' on his own and be the 'golden boy' he once was.

She does sound dumb as a rock she seems only good at bed games.

GermanY - you are so right and bed games are how she reeled him in then Ma played at 'Happy Families' and willy didn't stand a chance with this determined social climbing family.

Maybe Romilly and maybe they knew about her penchant for these type of events against charity visits. I was surprised that, according to the article, it was added on at HER request!! Maybe the RF are starting to realise exactly her Mo...and cutting her out? Notice Carol(e) not as high profile as she was ;-)

Carole most definitely low profile now, rumour has it that she 'had a talking to'!

Cathy can't have a proper conversation because she has nothing of interest in which she can converse about, the proper way to as* flash does not count, she has so few interests and she spent so much time just trying to bag baldy she did not plan for phase two, charming the public or at least not becoming famous for spouting inanities. Willy has no fear of being out shined, he never shined to begin with, at least not since he walked into St. Andrews with some coherence. Whatever criticism she gets now also reflects and belongs to him, he can hide her away in a server room in Iceland and he will still have to answer for his own appalling lack of interests, passions and work ethic. Two passionless, lazy, uninterested individuals is too much for any gathering, I think they are trying to thin THAT out. Bill is a future *gag* King and he can't even make the top story of the DM anymore, says a lot really.

What a waste, they could have done so much good with their positions but instead just lead a selfish, wasted and indulgent lifestyle.

And yet he seemed to be so full of life....BM (before Middledooms). As you say, OOTP they both appear lifeless, it's as if this marriage has sucked any life out of either of them. Who has succumbed to whose level, I wonder?

I think banishment from the glittering events is definately punishment, as she adores dressing up & schmoozing with celebs & as she has very little to do/say at these engagements has less chance to make a fool of herself. The RF should really keep her away from events that include Heads of State/politicians/military engagements etc as she always causes offence/embarassment. I'm not happy that she is attending the WWI commemorations, as she will be bored stiff & will not have the wit to conceal it.

ITA but if they have to keep her away from events including heads of state etc the what use is she going to be as PoW or Queen Consort? So there is only one answer - DIVORCE. I am not happy she is going to France either and cannot for the life of me think why she has been included - maybe she has been given a talking to but this is beyond pathetic at her age. She will probably look bored and hopefully that will be another nail in the coffin - figuratively speaking of course.
