There's a report today that a senior Buckingham Palace official has been charged with taking £100,000 in bribes for contracts.
Ronald Harper, who was made a Member of the Royal Victorian Order by the Queen in 2004, is alleged to have corruptly accepted gifts of tens of thousands of pounds over nearly six years in return for favouring a number of firms supplying air conditioning, boilers and other electrical services at ‘inflated prices’.
It is a hugely embarrassing development for the Queen as the Royal Household has been criticised for leaving palaces to crumble after years of complacency.
The multi-million pound works were for the London homes of Prince Harry, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge.
They were paid for out of the public purse through a government grant that covers the upkeep of royal palaces.

Using money meant for palace repairs to fund willy boy and waity repairs. Wonder if the roofs are still leaking at BP with buckets required to catch the rain? Oh but of course, waity now has three kitchens, ripped out a beautiful 38k kitchen as it did not suit her. And they keep telling us tax payer money was not used for willy boy waity renovations. And how much was that new oven - 180k - that alone is 4 times the cost of the previously beautiful kitchen waity had ripped out. No wonder they can´t afford to have the BP leaking roofs repairs, all going on waity´s extravagance and continually wasting money and things that do not need replacing.

That really is quite shocking and what caught my eye was 'the inflated prices'! No doubt subsidised by the taxpayer. All at the same time that the sycophantic dignitary in Oz donated 100k to Waity and Willy's charity in order to meet them. What a sad person he must be!

Thanks Roz - a million - they aren't worth a penny! Just seen them prancing around at the games and Harry lumped with them and Waity virtually flashing again in the most inappropriate outfit. Commenters on the DM saying its amazing she didn't break an ankle and anyone else would have Health and Safety after them.

And a Member of the Royal Victorian Order too! Seems to me most are on the make. So I'm certainly not surprised.
